New centenary library

This was a landmark project for one of Brisbane’s most prestigious boys’ schools and won the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) School Library Design Award 2019.

The 4-storey building, designed by BSPN Architecture, contains a large lecture theatre, archives, library areas, café and catering facility, general learning spaces and staff offices.

Rohrig was delighted to construct this iconic building and selected all materials and subcontractors to ensure the very best workmanship, impeccable finishes and quality to last another century. The brickwork, with three types of bricks to match the heritage buildings, was a special feature under the careful guidance of one of our longest-serving foremen.

Internally, timber panelling and a floating staircase complete the impressive space.
