Refurbishment of more than 300 rooms

Rydges at Brisbane’s Southbank arts and entertainment precinct is an established hotel with a range of accommodation for visiting tourists and business travellers.

Rohrig fully updated the hotel’s accommodation, including more than 300 guest rooms and suites, hallways and lift lobbies.  All the rooms have ensuite, air-conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, high-definition LCD TV, a workstation and digital safe.

Using a full room prototype, we tested different designs and materials, saving about $3 million from the original scope while making sure every element of the refurbishment matched Rydges’ quality and guest expectations.

The works and logistics were planned to keep the maximum number of rooms in operation and to ensure construction did not spoil the experience for guests.
